Détruite en 79 apr. J.-C. par une éruption volcanique, Herculanum est l'un des témoignages les plus fascinants de la vie des riches à l'époque romaine.

Comme pour Pompéi, les maisons d'Herculanum n'ont pas été complètement détruites par l'éruption : elles ont été recouvertes par les cendres jusqu'aux étages supérieurs.

Aux côtés d'un archéologue, découvrez comment la carbonisation de la lave a permis de préserver les mosaïques, les toits, les lits, le bois et les eaux usées !
