My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The history of the place was wonderfully articulated by our guide, Aidan, who really brought the events, characters and stories to life. The view from the tower over Oxford is also worth the admission price alone. Highly recommended.

Oxford Castle är ett stort, delvis förstört normandiskt slott i Oxfordshire, England. Det mesta av slottet förstördes under det engelska inbördeskriget, och på 1700-talet hade de återstående byggnaderna blivit Oxfords lokala fängelse.
Fängelset stängdes 1996 och byggdes om till hotell och besöksmål. De medeltida resterna av slottet, inklusive St. George 's Tower och kryptan, samt motten, är kulturminnesmärkta byggnader av första graden och ett schemalagt monument.
