It was easy to "skip the line". I had a booking for 2pm and although I waited in the fast track line, I was in the chapel by 2. The chapel is nice to visit - a lot of history and different floors...

Medici-kapellen byggdes av och för Medici-familjen, som finansierade mycket av renässansen och styrde den florentinska republiken i generationer. Dessa två kapell tillhör basilikan San Lorenzo - en kyrka som går tillbaka till 300-talet e.Kr.
Förutom att vara begravningsplats för 49 medlemmar av Medici-klanen innehåller dessa kapell tre av Michelangelos vackraste skulpturer.
