Picking up the ticket in advance makes your day seamless. It works with the subway to Placa Espana and then the train etc. to Montserrat and back.

Dit prachtige 4.000 voet hoge wonder is van verre gemakkelijk te herkennen aan zijn "gekartelde" top waaraan hij zijn naam dankt. En op 2.380 voet boven zeeniveau ligt het Benedictijner klooster van Santa Maria de Montserrat op een schitterende plek, omgeven door een onvergetelijk natuurlandschap.

Het klooster dient al bijna duizend jaar als centrum voor spirituele retraite. We bezoeken eerst de basiliek, waar de Maagd Santa Maria van Montserrat, patroonheilige van Catalonië, staat.
