Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau는 카탈루냐 모더니즘 운동의 아방가르드 건축가 Lluís Domènech i Montaner의 걸작입니다. 1900년대 초, 그는 환자의 몸뿐만 아니라 영혼까지 치유할 수 있는 병원을 구상했다.
산트 파우 병원은 16개의 파빌리온, 고요한 정원, 모자이크 예술, 돔형 천장, 유쾌한 파스텔 벽, 다색 타일을 자랑하는 아르누보 복합 단지입니다. 건물은 병원처럼 느껴지지 않고 초현실적인 치유의 장소처럼 느껴집니다. 개별 건물을 연결하는 지하 터널도 방문객에게 개방됩니다.
