My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The history of the place was wonderfully articulated by our guide, Aidan, who really brought the events, characters and stories to life. The view from the tower over Oxford is also worth the admission price alone. Highly recommended.

옥스퍼드 성 소개
옥스퍼드 성 (Oxford Castle) 은 잉글랜드 옥스퍼드셔주에 있는 크고 부분적으로 폐허가 된 노르만인의 성이다. 성의 대부분은 잉글랜드 내전에서 파괴되었고, 18세기에 이르러서야 남은 건물들은 옥스퍼드의 교도소가 되었다.
이 감옥은 1996년에 문을 닫았고 호텔과 방문객 유치원으로 재개발되었다. 세인트 조지 타워와 지하묘지, 모테트 등 중세 시대의 성곽 유적들은 1등급 건물과 예정 기념비로 지정되어 있다.
