It takes you back to the time from when the synagogue was built. No electricity and no heat. Amazing that the members kept it that way for hundreds of years. Very impactful.

The museum is laid out well with several different options for learning (watching, listening, reading). I really enjoyed learning about the history of Jewish life and culture in the Netherlands prior to WWII.

ユダヤ文化地区について
ユダヤ文化地区には、ユダヤ博物館（旧ユダヤ歴史博物館）、ポルトガル・シナゴーグ（1675年建造）、Hollandsche Schouwburg（国立ホロコースト記念館）、Jewish Museum Junior（伝統的なユダヤ人の家をイメージした教育的な子供向け博物館）などがあります。
ユダヤ博物館自体は、ワーテルロープレインの近くにある4つの記念碑的なシナゴーグに収容されており、アムステルダム中心部での家族での一日のスタートには最適な場所です。
