This year, the theme "Myths and Legends" takes center stage, with these ancient stories coming to life in ice and snow sculptures that reach heights of up to 6 meters.
From Greek mythology, featuring characters like Medusa and Icarus, to the mystique of the Chinese zodiac and the age-old enigmas surrounding the Loch Ness monster. What makes these stories remarkable is that they withstand the test of time, continuing to captivate and inspire us. Both the heroic tale of King Arthur and the mysterious underwater world of Atlantis are recognizable to young and old alike and will now be showcased in ice and snow.
The Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival promises to offer a journey through time and around the world, where the beauty of ice and snow merges with the magic of myths and legends.
