Your adventure begins a short walk from the tower, where you'll be taught about its history by an Eiffel expert. Head to the viewing platform on the second level to learn more about the 18,000-part construction, which was once seen as an eyesore by grumbling Parisians.

During high season, the wait to access the second floor can be up to 25 minutes. Your wait for entrance to the Eiffel Tower will still be much shorter than buying regular tickets, but this is one of the most popular monuments on Earth – it can get busy!
