Te Palace
Te Palace, also called Palazzo Te, is a 16th-century Mannerist (Late Renaissance) palace in Mantua, Italy. It was built for Federico II Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua, as a retreat from his royal duties.
This grand palace has an almost endless number of rooms, each themed and decorated with wonderfully exaggerated Mannerist frescoes. The most famous of these is the Chamber of Giants, with a remarkable ceiling fresco which is renowned among art history fans.
