Visit the Art Gallery of NSW to see Cao Fei's largest exhibition in Australia. This retrospective features her work on China's urbanization and digital change, showcasing two new commissions.

Cao Fei, born in Guangzhou in 1978 and based in Beijing, is known for documenting China's rapid development through films, photography, and installations.

My City is Yours takes you into a world of street dance and pop music, presented in neon lights. Start your visit with a replica of a 1960s Beijing cinema foyer and leave through a tribute to a Sydney yum cha restaurant.

The exhibition, designed with Beau Architects, looks like a cityscape. Expect to see cosplayers and hip-hop dancers in the streets. The city is made of screens and pixels, influenced by gaming and the metaverse.
