Aquarium of the Bay

Aquarium of the Bay is located at San Francisco's popular PIER 39. Its focus, as the name suggests, is local aquatic animals from the San Francisco Bay (and nearby waterways). There are three main exhibit areas, each with a specific point of focus. Visit the Sky View Observatory at the top of Columbia Center in Downtown Seattle. As the tallest building in the city, it offers 360° views of landmarks like Mt. Rainier, the Cascade Mountains, Elliott Bay, the Space Needle, and Bellevue.

  • Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only
  • Sky View Observatory reserves the right to close for private events
  • Last entry: 1 hour before closing
  • Visit duration: 45-90 minutes
  • Luggage and large bags cannot be accommodated in the observatory; there are no lockers or storage facilities
  • Prams/strollers can be taken inside the observatory
  • Service animals are welcome
