Tenerife: Island Tour with Masca

This excursion gives you the opportunity to experience the essence of Tenerife in just one day. Start the day visiting Candelaria, a coastal town that is home to the Basilica of Candelaria, one of the most important places of worship in Tenerife. On the seashore, you can admire the imposing bronze statues commemorating the ancient Guanche Kings of Tenerife.

Continue to the Historic-Artistic Site of La Villa de La Orotava. Walk the cobblestone streets of its historic center to find places full of charm and culture, such as La Casa de Los Balcones, the Town Hall Square, or the Church of Nuestra Señora de La Concepción.

Tour further into the north of Tenerife until you reach Garachico, a charming coastal town with a history marked by a volcanic eruption in 1706. Stroll through its historic center, declared of Cultural Interest, and visit emblematic sites such as the natural pools of El Caletón, formed by volcanic lava, or the Castle of San Miguel, an ancient fortress that protected the town from pirate attacks.

You will have free time for lunch on your own or to taste Canarian gastronomy at one of the recommended restaurants.

After this visit, enter the Teno Rural Park to enjoy its impressive natural landscapes. The winding roads will take you to Masca, a hamlet surrounded by spectacular cliffs that preserve traditional Canarian architecture.
