It’s not the Colosseum, but this wax museum certainly has its charms. Plus, it’s said to have the world’s third-largest collection of wax figures.
The Wax Museum in Rome is heavy on the historical figures, mixed with some modern-day glamour. Mingle with the stars before you learn about some historical heavyweights!
Michelangelo, Picasso, Dante, Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, and Luciano Pavarotti are only a few examples of the wax figures featured in this spot just off Piazza Venezia.
Don’t come expecting the glitz and polish of a Madame Tussauds; some of the figures and outfits are a little less than pristine, but that just adds to the charm of this attraction that's off the beaten track.
Your ticket also gives you access to the laboratory where the waxworks are created.
