Step back into ancient times with a captivating sunrise tour of the Vatican City. At dawn, you wander through the grand St. Peter's Square and Basilica.

The tour commences in the Piazza della Città Leonina, where a knowledgeable guide unravels the Vatican's rich history as you gaze at the towering columns of St. Peter's Square.

Next, guests head towards the first balcony and scale the 320 steps to the pinnacle of the Basilica's Dome.

The prize? A breathtaking panoramic view of the city center, Roman Colosseum, and Pantheon.

The exploration continues with a close encounter of the Vatican's historic Grottoes to peek into the chapels and chambers where Popes, royals, and dignitaries rest.

  • The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and Vatican Necropoli are not part of this tour
  • The elevator of the Dome only takes you to the first balcony, to climb up to the main Dome you will have to use the stairs (320 steps) which require 20 extra minutes
  • The St. Peter's Basilica Dome might not be accessible during bad weather conditions
  • You have to pass through a metal detector security check before entering St Peter's Basilica
  • The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and Vatican Necropoli are not part of this tour
  • Please take note that this service exclusively offers an entry ticket & tour to the Dome and not skip-the-line access to the Basilica.
