Kürbisfestival ist super. Die Skulpturen im Park sind sehenswert. Auch die Ausstellungen im Schloss muss man gesehen haben.

About: Park and Lichtenwalde Castle

Lichtenwalde Castle and Park near Chemnitz are considered the "Pearl of the Baroque". The historical origin of the remarkable Baroque ensemble goes back to the Middle Ages. It was not until the 18th century that the castle and park were built and laid out in their present form. In the adjacent 10-hectare baroque park, visitors stroll with a view of the Zschopau valley and enjoy time out in the countryside.

Highlights in the castle include the treasury museum with historical salons, the castle chapel with Donati organ, as well as changing special exhibitions.
