Combine Neuschwanstein Castle with other Schwangau favorites. Some things are better together.
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque revival castle building perched on top of a hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria and was inspired by the works of Richard Wagner and German fairytales. Its beauty inspired the Disney logo and it's also known as the "sleeping Beauty" castle. It's a remarkable work of the last waive of German Romantic movement that cost a fortune to the Bavarian Kingdom and, probably the life of the frail King Ludwig the II.
