Join the "Journey to Jubilee" tour and explore the history of slavery, emancipation, and contracted labor at the Belle Meade plantation. As you walk through the grounds, you'll learn about the thoroughbred horse racing industry and the skilled workers who were there.

Discover the realities of slavery from the plantation's start in 1807 to the 13th Amendment in 1865. You'll hear stories of men, women, and children who lived and survived here, showing their resilience.

This tour reveals over a century of history, honoring those whose stories have been overlooked or forgotten.

Please Note: The goal for this tour is to speak freely and honestly about the realities of Slavery, including the difficult subject matter related to all violence. Therefore, this tour is recommended for guests aged 12 and older.
