During the tour you will not only visit the famous “Blue House”, but you'll also get to know the majestic architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the picturesque landscapes of downtown Coyoacán and the colors of Xochimilco. , “Place of flowers”.

The first stop will be a silver carving workshop where a local family will explain their love for this traditional art form. Next, head to Coyoacán, whose name in Nahuatl means “place of coyotes”. Here, your local guide will give you a brief overview about the origin and importance of this neighborhood and its surroundings.

Next, visit the house-museum of Frida Kahlo, (aka, the “Blue House“), where you will learn about the intense relationship between Frida, her works and her home, where she was born, and also where she died.

The trip continues to one of Frida Kahlo’s favorite places, Xochimilco. Here you will learn about about its origins, dating back to pre-Hispanic times, and enjoy a ride on a traditional trajinera boat.

After the tour, you will have free time to walk through the handicraft market or try the delicious food that is sold in the surroundings. The last stop is Ciudad Universitaria, where your local guide will introduce you to the 110 incredible murals that tell the epic history of Mexico.
