Pyramids, ancient primates and more! The National Museum of Anthropology is Mexico's most visited museum and is one of the most comprehensive natural history museums in the world. And it's all housed in a monumental structure, which features exhibition halls ringed by gardens and a vast central square in the form of a concrete umbrella.

Cross the threshold of the National Museum of Anthropology, but be sure to wear comfy shoes. This place is huuuuge - and you might need more than a few hours to see it all!

Your guided tour will take you past the Aztec Sun Stone, this 500-year-old sculpture is perhaps the most famous piece of Aztec sculpture in the world, and a total must during your visit.

Woven into this labyrinth of ancient cultures and artifacts is the story of the Teotihuacan pyramids, which took approximately 350 years to construct.

You can also explore changing exhibitions, plus long-standing exhibits on Aztec life and architecture, and indigenous people in modern times.

Meet your guide at the flagpole in front of the main entrance of the Anthropology Museum at 08:50. Please make sure to be on time!

  • Cancellation is possible until 24 hours before your visit.
