Ever wondered what it's like in the cockpit of a fighter jet? Or how it feels to ride the wind in a wingsuit? The Verkehrshaus lets you experience both, and that's only a fraction of what you can do inside.

Get ready to learn everything there is about transport, from the early days of navigation right through to space exploration. As our feats of engineering get even more impressive, so do our ways of recording them – learn more about how media engages us at the museum's media world.

If you're a gearhead, you'll never want to leave. The Verkehrshaus stops at every station of transport history and helps visitors understand how integral engineering was in making all of Switzerland accessible. Go in-depth and find out how railways helped lift the economy, and how cable cars made alpine travel possible for everyone, not just intrepid adventurers.

There are still plenty of explorers pushing the boundaries of what we can do though, and you can step into their shoes through VR simulations. The Icaros simulator will give you a taste of what it's like to fly, as you lie flat on your stomach, hold on tight, and twist and turn your way through realistic experiences.

Scan your smartphone ticket directly at the turnstiles.
