The Southern California/Baja Gallery represents California's diverse marine environment across 18 exhibits. With an Aquarium of the Pacific membership you can expect to see playful sea lions and languid seals having a swimmingly good time together – you'll also encounter vibrant schools of balloonfish, colorful Cortez rainbow wrasses and more!
Learn more about the American wetlands at the shorebird sanctuary and see black-necked stilts, western snowy plovers, killdeer, and ruddy ducks amidst the beautiful flora and fauna of their natural habitat. These birds of a feather are kept together, away from their noisy parrot neighbors in Lorikeet Forest.
Take a trip to the Tropical Pacific Gallery, where stunning seahorses, seadragons, vibrant coral and clownfish will dazzle you. The gallery also includes Coral Reefs: Nature’s Underwater Cities, where you'll find flashlight fish, red-footed boobies, and a green sea turtle!
There are rockpools and touch-tanks too, where you can handle some of the creatures like gelatinous moon jellies.
