Mesa de Frades is much more than a restaurant with music: the place has become a true temple of Fado and absolute must-see during your Lisbon trip. In this former chapel where the walls are covered with 18th-century tiles, renowned Fado singers, as well as singers from the new generation of fadistas perform every night.

Enjoy an informal atmosphere and a dinner menu full of tasty traditional Portuguese dishes. The menu at Mesa de Frades includes a traditional couvert, a round of starters, a variety of main courses for all tastes and dietary restrictions, dessert, coffee and, of course, a selection of Portuguese wine.

Les jeunes chanteuses et chanteur de fado étaient excellents. Je suis portugaise par ma mère et j’y suis allée avec elle. Elle est passionnée de fado et a adoré. Le restaurant est petit, traditionnel et très joli. Le repas était bon, j’ai pris de la daurade: elle était délicieuse. La cerise sur le gâteau : le personnel adorable, aux petits soins, d’une gentillesse rare !!! Fantastico e muito obrigada ♥️🩷💙❤️

das Essen war ok, die Musik und die Musiker und Sänger grandios. Leider waren Gäste da, die sich nicht zu benehmen wussten und so laut waren, dass es kaum auszuhalten war. Die Gastfreundschaft war super!

Das essen war eine katastrofe, wasser aus wasserleitung, gefüllt in schöne glassflaschen, wein aus 4-5 l beutel, fisch trocken, gar nicht frisch. Musik, das nennt man musik, 3 lieder, dann...
Das essen war eine katastrofe, wasser aus wasserleitung, gefüllt in schöne glassflaschen, wein aus 4-5 l beutel, fisch trocken, gar nicht frisch. Musik, das nennt man musik, 3 lieder, dann schluss. Personal nett gespielt. 2 stunden essen 15 min musik. Reine abzockerei....
