If you’re fascinated by Japan’s samurai past and jidaigeki films like Shogun Assassin, then you’re in for a treat at Toei Kyoto Studio Park.
The park has tons of themed activities for families to enjoy, from haunted houses and a hall of optical illusions to the Film Hall of Fame. If you’re up to the challenge, you can even test your skills with a bow and arrow or throwing stars. If you’re not into weapons, you can still snap a photo with Kamen Rider or Ryusoul Red.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be a ninja? Take on a seven-meter-tall ninja climbing wall and jump from the top, discover secret passages in the ninja mystery house, and escape from a three-story maze filled with obstacles!
Make sure you check out one of the studio’s many shows, including demonstrations of how swords were handled, guided studio tours, an exciting ninja show, and the chance to take photos with courtesans in decorative dress.
Anime fans can stop at the Toei anime gallery, one of the world's most recognized anime studios, and admire cel drawings, posters, and models of their favorite characters.
Combine Toei Kyoto Studio Park with other Kyoto favorites. Some things are better together.
