Want to know what royal hygiene was like in the 16th century? Skip the line and find out at Ambras Castle, which offers the chance to see the only preserved bathing facility left from that era! See several amazing art collections, the intricately decorated Spanish Hall, and step back to Innsbruck's imperial past.

Towering 587 meters above sea level on the hills above 800-year-old Innsbruck, sits Ambras Castle - a homage to Innsbruck's imperial history and the legacy of one of the Archduke Ferdinand II, Habsburg’s biggest art collector. It's also the oldest museum in the world!

Skip the line and head to the Upper Castle's Inner Courtyard, where you can see the frescoes depicting the deeds of heroes and heroines. Then soak up the charms of the Chapel of St. Nicholas, filled with 14th-century embroideries.

In the Lower Castle, visit the armories (Collection of Arms and Armor), the Chamber of Art and Curiosities, and don't miss the stucco work in the Spanish Hall, depicting the first 12 Roman emperors, from Caesar to Domitian.

Visit this historical castle and fill up on art, armor, and 16th-century curiosities.

Skip the lines at the main entrance and show your smartphone ticket to get in.
