The Girona Museum of Art is housed inside one of the most notable buildings in the old town of Girona, the old Episcopal Palace. It conserves several collections from the Bishopric of Girona, the Girona Provincial Council, and the art funds of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Take a chronological wander through Girona's art history, with pictorial and sculptural works from different periods. The collections of Romanesque, gothic, and renaissance art stand out, as do works of Catalan painting and sculpture from the 19th and 20th centuries, including works by Miquel Blay, the Vayreda brothers, Santiago Rusiñol, Prudenci Bertrana, Mela Muter, Celso Lagar, among others.
