Right in the heart of Colle Val d'Elsa, this renovated museum tells the dramatic story of this beautiful Tuscan town. The site of political turmoil and military sieges, Colle Val d'Elsa remains a point of convergence for art and culture, with generations of inhabitants producing a wealth of painting, music, and literature. Discover it all today!

The permanent collection of Museum of San Pietro uses artifacts and artworks to chart major historical events in the town over thousands of years, right up to the present day. Given the setting, it's fitting that there's an emphasis on faith and the ways it's been expressed in art.

You'll find a large section dedicated to the legendary 20th-century writer Romano Bilenchi, with original texts by contemporaries such as Ottone Rosai and Moses Levy giving context to his literary achievements.

Look out for the museum's prize exhibit: an extremely rare silver Eucharist known as the Treasure of Galognano but be prepared for some serious tableware-envy after you're done gawping.
