Tucked away in the heart of New South Wales and just a picturesque two-hour journey from Sydney, you'll find the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park where you can get up close to native and exotic animal species.

This captivating animal sanctuary is perfect for nature lovers and families. You'll see hundreds of unique native Australian species. But the excitement doesn't stop there! The park is also home to creatures including lions, giraffes and more!

Facilities:

  • Free parking is available in the car park, and additional spaces available on the street
  • Communal BBQ facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • You can find a variety of offerings at the Marquee Café onsite, including hot food, sandwiches, ice cream, cold drinks, assorted snacks, and Barista-made coffee

How to Get There:

  • From Sydney or the Central Coast: The quickest way is via the Freeman’s Waterhole Exit, through Brunkerville, and then turn left at the roundabout and head into Cessnock. You can also keep traveling up to the Hunter Expressway and come through Lovedale
  • From Newcastle or the Hunter Expressway: Take the Lovedale Exit heading towards Pokolbin at the end of Lovedale Road and turn left. The zoo is on the next road on the left (Lomas Lane). St.Phillips Christian Collage sits on the corner of Lomas Lane
