About: Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is one of Spain's most iconic and beloved cultural landmark's, located in Santiago de Compostela, in the autonomous region of Galicia, it is built above the burial site of St. James, an apostle of Jesus Christ. It is one of only three known buildings in the world with such a distinction and is the traditional endpoint for the Camino de Santiago (the Way of James) pilgrimage. The facade of the cathedral is featured on some Spanish coins.
