However, it is because of this rich historical fabric that it was selected to represent the beauty and history of Milan, as well as guard some of Italy's most precious artworks, sculptures, and monuments.
Today, this famous Italian site has undergone several renovations to bring the Castello Sforzesco back to its original glory, and now includes dozens of museum venues with numerous pieces of art from the Italian Renaissance, a refurbished aquarium, as well as several historical and contemporary monuments in the adjoining gardens, all enclosed among its several piazzas and towers.
Because of the extensive outdoor gardens and buildings, as well as the multitude of museums within the complex, you should budget 2-3 hours or even up to half a day to see the Castello Sforzesco to its fullest potential.
