Whether you're a history enthusiast, military buff, or simply curious about naval heritage, the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial throws you headfirst into the nation's fascinating military past. This floating museum showcases some of the largest battleships ever built by the U.S. Navy, and covers various periods in history, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the 1980s.

Step aboard the iconic USS New Jersey, one of the most decorated battleships in U.S. Naval history. Take a self-guided tour and wander through the ship's historic decks, discovering its impressive weaponry, living quarters, and operational areas.

Learn about naval warfare with hands-on exhibits that bring the battleship's history to life. Get a feel for the immense firepower as you operate the ship's massive gun turrets, and get goosebumps over a simulated Tomahawk missile launch!

  • Upon arrival, go to the Visitors Center, located land-side across from the Battleship. The Ticket Office assists individuals, families and groups looking to start their tour
  • To get on the ship, stay to the right and climb the stairs, or use the elevator behind the stairs. You then cross over a metal brow that rises and lowers with the tide connecting the pier stairs/elevator to the deck of the ship
