For well over 100 years, the Kuranda Scenic Railway has been meandering through the World Heritage-listed rainforest in Barron Gorge National Park, to the picturesque mountainside village of Kuranda.

Get your Kuranda Scenic Railway tickets and experience this iconic train ride, passing over endless bridges and ravines towards Kuranda. Your adventure begins at Cairns or Freshwater Station, and you'll chug along the 33-kilometre route through lush green valleys and past gushing waterfalls.

If you opt for the Gold Class ticket, you'll enjoy drinks and locally sourced appetizers, as well as a dedicated host for your Kuranda train journey.

The rail journey is very beautiful and enjoyable. The 2 x waterfalls had plenty of water and therefore made for great photos
