Get a one-day ticket for Connexxion buses and take a day trip to two Dutch favourites close to Amsterdam.
With more than enough historical sights, cultural attractions and hidden tiny courts crammed into a relatively small city, a visit to Haarlem makes for a brilliant day trip from Amsterdam. There’s plenty to keep you entertained – including river cruises, flower markets, and more – and thanks to its compact size, it’s easy to get a good introduction to the city even if you only have one day to explore it.
In Zandvoort, you can enjoy the beautiful wide sandy beach by the North Sea or the beautiful views from the kilometres long promenade. Zandvoort is one of the oldest seaside resorts in the Netherlands: in 1828, the first bathhouse was put into use. Numerous celebrities visited Zandvoort and it is still one of the most popular beaches in the region.
With bus line 80 – the Amsterdam Beach Line – you will not just travel to the beach. It's also worth taking a walk or a bike ride in the Dutch dunes, to visit the Circuit Park Zandvoort or to see the historic city of Haarlem.
