The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento is the largest archaeological site in the world. This Sicilian plateau spans 1,300 hectares of sun-drenched history, where some of the most remarkable ruins of Ancient Greek and Byzantine empires are still standing tall.

A key highlight is the Temple of Concordia, one of the best preserved Greek temples in the world. But there's more to see here. Touch the twisted gnarled bark of an 800-year-old olive tree, visit the Temple of Hera, where the ancients made sacrifices to the queen of the gods, and discover why the centuries have been less kind to the temple of poor, old Zeus. If you still have time, opt to wander the idyllic Kolymbetra Gardens.

  • On the first Sunday of the month, free admission is permitted from 8:30am to 19pm while from 20pm to 23pm admission is subject to paymen

Bene,non metto la quinta stella solo perché comunque il biglietto online va convertito in biglietteria e per l'audio guida bisogna installare una app che per alcuni può risultare macchinoso.
