It’s a sad statement that this ancient synagogue was lost to the history until someone recently took the effort to search for it archaeologically. It’s as though they tried to erase generations... Mehr anzeigen

It’s a sad statement that this ancient synagogue was lost to the history until someone recently took the effort to search for it archaeologically. It’s as though they tried to erase generations of Jewish Contributions to Spanish culture and history. Also, if not for the individual benefactors and philanthropists, who contributed the Judaica and furnishings. this “museum” space would have remained an empty shell. Sad, every way you look at it.
