What kind of Wieliczka Salt Mine tickets are right for you:

Do you only need a Wieliczka Salt Mine entry ticket?

If you have your own car, or don't require help getting to the mines, then you can book the trusty Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour with skip-the-line access.

It's all you need to plumb the incredible depths of Polish mining history, with an expert guide leading you deeper underground, like Jamiroquai ca. 1998.

Do you need a ticket option that includes transport from Kraków?

Alternatively, you can leave the navigation to the experts, and enjoy the same line-skipping privileges and guided tour experience as above, but with full roundtrip transport from Krakow.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine: Guided Tour with Transport from Krakow ticket is all you need to mine some serious cultural riches, without getting lost in patchwork farmland en route!

Prefer to join an early tour?

If you're a morning person then start your day with warm cup of "all of the above", and beat the busier daytime crowds with an early bird tour.

The Morning Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour from Kraków with Transportation will whisk there and back again in time for a late lunch.

While it's tempting to arrive at the mine expecting a total surprise, it's also good to visit Wieliczka Salt Mine armed with some useful information.

Here are some good things to know before you go:

  • There are toilets at Wieliczka Salt Mine. It's a good idea to use the toilet before starting the tour, there are toilets located right next to the Daniłowicz Shaft, but there are also toilets underground at two locations along the route

  • Folding strollers are allowed on the tour, however, due to the large number of stairs (approximately 800), a carrier or sling may be more practical

  • To ensure maximum comfort of everyone on the tour, the chambers and galleries of the Wieliczka Salt Mine Tourist Route are well-lit. There's no need to bring any other personal light sources

  • The tour can be adapted for wheelchair users, however, advance notice with the venue is required

  • It is not possible to tour Wieliczka Salt Mine without a trained and licensed guide

  • Can you bring or store luggage at Wieliczka Salt Mine? Yes! The maximum dimensions of hand luggage that can be brought on the tour is 35cm x 20cm x 20cm.

  • Larger luggage can be left in the storage room, which is located on the surface near the Daniłowicz Shaft
