This ticket, with an audio guide included, allows you to take in the historic landmarks within Piazza San Giovanni, including the Volterra Cathedral (The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta), its wonderful baptistry, and the former Civil Hospital of Santa Maria Maddalena.
Your ticket is valid across two consecutive days – all the better to take in that medieval architecture and history. The Cathedral, a Romanesque landmark at the center of its community, is a delight both inside and out, as is the Baptistry of San Giovanni, which dates back over 1,000 years.
You'll also have access to the former civic hospital of Santa Maria Maddalena, a place of care which has a history dating back to the 12th century.
