The gallery's main entrance has steps, but there is a wheelchair-accessible entrance at the back of the building
To access the rear door, a caregiver needs to enter the building, or you need to call using your cell phone so that a staff member can assist you
Only the ground-floor exhibits are fully wheelchair accessible
The upper floor is accessible via stairs or the elevator – please note the elevator can’t accommodate a wheelchair or chair
If you are in a wheelchair and wish to see the upper floors, you will need to be able to stand in the elevator for short periods while moving between floors
The museum will provide a wheelchair on the upper floor once you exit the elevator. They will safely store your own wheelchair on the ground floor for you
Villa Borghese is a large landscape garden in Rome, Italy. Covering 80 hectares and lined with trees, small lakes, fountains, and various other architectural delights, Villa Borghese is also home to the famous Borghese Gallery.
It may only be the third largest public park in Rome, but Villa Borghese is certainly the most romantic. It's an enjoyable spot for a picnic, to explore by bike, or even electric golf cart!
