Step inside the Austrian Theater Museum and enter a world of theatrical magic and history. The Theater Museum in Lobkowitz Palace has more than 1,000 stage models, 600 costumes and props, as well as thousands of drawings, photos and prints from three centuries of footlights and greasepaint.
The Theater Museum's wide-ranging collection of theatrical artifacts covers all aspects of the performing arts, including puppetry and musical theater. On a visit here, you'll be able to draw back the curtain on three centuries worth of models, costumes and props from the world of theater.
What's more, it's located in the stunning baroque Lobkowitz Palace, where you'll also find the grand Eroica Hall, named after Beethoven's Third Symphony (which was dedicated to the palace's owner). Many of Beethoven's subsequent compositions were performed here.
Combine Austrian Theater Museum with other Vienna favorites. Some things are better together.
