- Venice
Take a 2.5-hour tour of San Giorgio Maggiore Island that will showcase its three top attractions: the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the Borges Labyrinth, and the Vatican Chapels. Learn about the renowned facsimile of the Wedding Feast at Cana and see the photo room, the Longhena staircase, and the two cloisters.
Amble through the woods with an evocative audio guide playing composer Antonio Fresa's original music. You'll see the Vatican Chapels (presented to the public during the 16th edition of the Biennale di Venezia), gardens, and courtyards designed by the legendary architects Palladio and Buora.
The tour allows you to visit the Green Theater, the most beautiful theater in the world - as actress Katharine Hepburn defined it in the 1950s.
The Theater was built starting from 1952 on a project by the architects Luigi Vietti and Angelo Scattolin. See the amphitheater with steps of white Vicenza stone interspersed with boxwood backs. Building this theater was a huge undertaking, which required 640 working days and 166 workers at work every day! The construction of the grandiose stage, which covers an area of 1,400 square meters was very difficult. The orchestra pit could accommodate up to 150 performers.
This theater is an extraordinary landscape architecture able to combine the reflections, the light and the nature of the lagoon, with the beauty of the architectural project and the evocative scope of the performances that were hosted there
