About: Twelve Apostles (Great Ocean Road)

The Twelve Apostles is a popular site located off the shore of Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. These limestone stacks burst from the water in close proximity to one another, meaning you can sail right up to each one.

Wondering how they formed? The extreme weather conditions blustered in from the Southern Ocean and, over time, eroded the soft limestone. This helped to form different caves in the cliffs, which morphed into arches that eventually collapsed, leaving this impressive rock stack stretching up to 50 meters high. To see the Twelve Apostles is to see a real piece of Australian history!
