Exhibition
9 Feb 2024 — 6 Jan 2025
The World Museum puts the question of what it's like to live with the colonial past to Elia Nurvista, Max Kisman, and Sabine Groenewegen. These artists have been invited to reflect on the legacies of the Dutch rule of Indonesia. In their work, they take a critical look at the impact of the colonial past on the present and work with a variety of media on various themes.

The beautiful and historic building in which the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam is housed is a little out of the main tourist areas. It's in leafy Amsterdam Oost, not far from the Artis Zoo.
Formerly the Tropenmuseum, this museum is dedicated to other cultures and countries, is one of Amsterdam's hidden treasures.
