Join a guide and discover an Andalusian essential as you tour the Alhambra and Generalife. Start exploring the complex of palaces and fortress that make up the Alhambra.

Dating all the way back to 889 AD, it was conceived as a small fortress, and went unnoticed until the mid-11th century when Emir Muhammad ben Al-Ahmar ordered the renovation and reconstruction of its ruins and ordered the construction of the current palace.

One of the best ways to learn more about the palatine city is in the company of an official guide. Your private visit begins by discovering the gardens of the Generalife. An area annexed to the Alhambra and made up of gardens and the summer palaces of the sultans.

The tour continues through the remains of the medina and the Alcazaba (the militarized zone of the Alhambra whose purpose was to protect the city). Finally, you'll visit the jewel in the crown – the Nasrid Palaces: the Mexuar; the Palace of Comares; and the Palace of the Lions, where the famous Patio de los Leones is located.
