The audio guide was very hard to navigate and after a short while we just stopped using it. It should be way more intuitive to make it worthwhile. The exhibition was informative, but far from impressive - it's just one room with lots of prints and projections on the wall. The piano was impressive, but that was it.
Outside wasn't much better. Just a lot of quotes plastered everywhere. If Strawberry Field was just a free walk in a small park, it would have been a great and moving experience. But the build-up and the ticket price made me expect a great deal more and the whole thing left me very underwhelmed. It seemed to me that the main focus was on the cafeteria and the gift shop.

Strawberry Field
About: Strawberry Field
Made famous by the Beatles' hit song, "Strawberry Fields Forever", Strawberry Field is a Salvation Army property and visitor attraction in the Liverpool suburb of Woolton. It operated as a children's home between 1936 and 2005, but continues to be used by the Salvation Army for other purposes.
Strawberry Field is now a visitor attraction that provides guided tours, and hosts an immersive exhibition with archival footage and photographs to tell the story of John Lennon's childhood years, as well as inspirational stories of the children's home.
