Explore the eye-opening insides of the Torre e Casa Campatelli, a tower house dating back to the 12th century that later became the residence of the wealthy Campatelli family. Of the 72 ancient towers that made San Gimignano famous, this is one of only 14 that survived!

The middle-class citizens of 19th-century Tuscany may not have had the sophisticated digital technologies you'll be using to learn about the Campatelli Tower and House, but you might still wish you could have lived here back in the day.

The Campatellis were a Florentine family of entrepreneurs and landowners, who were prominent residents of San Gimignano. Visiting this authentically furnished palazzo is a real step back in time!

See a video on the history, culture, and legends of San Gimignano, and witness photographs, private memories, objets d'art, and collections from the family, including Montelupo pottery and paintings by Guido Peyron.
