Alcatraz: Day 1

Visit is possible only on the day you booked. Show your smartphone voucher and a government-issued photo ID to get paper tickets at the Groups Window at Pier 33. Arrive 45 minutes before departure. Stay on Alcatraz as long as you like; ferries return every 30 minutes.

Guided Bike Tour: Day 2

The bike tour is automatically scheduled for the day after the Alcatraz visit unless you reschedule with the supplier. Go to 2661 Taylor Street, Bay City Bike Rentals & Tours, at Fisherman's Wharf and show your smartphone ticket. The tour starts at 10:00 AM. Arrive 30 minutes early.

  • Golden Gate Bridge

Day 1 takes you to Alcatraz Island. Board the ferry at Fisherman's Wharf for a self-guided audio tour available in multiple languages. Walk through the old prison, learn about escape attempts, and explore Alcatraz’s history as a fort, prison, and site of Native American occupation. Enjoy views of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge.

On Day 2, use a full-day bike rental to explore San Francisco. Your guide will take you to all the best spots. Take selfies at Baker Beach, enjoy an espresso in North Beach, try tacos in the Mission District, or visit the Golden Gate Bridge.

After your ride, return to San Francisco at your pace. You can also take a ferry back (ticket not included), or use the Sausalito bike drop service for a fee during high season if you prefer to leave the bike there.

  • Photo ID is required when purchasing and picking up tickets. Photo ID is required to board the ferry. Photo I.D. is not required for all in your party, but only for those who purchased tickets
  • Bags larger than a standard backpack, 16" x 20", are not allowed on Alcatraz Island. Over-sized packs and luggage are not permitted. No exceptions. There are also no storage lockers at Pier 33
  • No one under the age of 18 can be without an adult
  • The contour of Alcatraz Island is rugged and steep. The distance between the dock and Alcatraz prison is about 1/4 mile (.4km), and the elevation change is 130 feet (40 meters)
  • Sustainable Easy Access Transport (S.E.A.T.) is available to those with mobility impairment
  • Consuming foods is only allowed at picnic areas
  • Service dogs are allowed. Pets or companion animals are not allowed
  • Get a full refund if you select a refundable ticket during checkout and cancel until 23:59 the day before you visit
  • Rescheduling is not possible for this ticket
