If you're exploring the south of France, there are numerous reasons to make a stop at Glanum.
For one, it's just a stone's throw from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the quaint commune which was depicted in Van Gogh's iconic Starry Night. Secondly, it boasts the wonderfully preserved remains of an ancient settlement ready for you to explore.
Take an hour or so to admire the Roman remains of its temple, basilica, forum and houses, all of which were only rediscovered a century ago!
Combine Glanum with other Saint-Rémy-de-Provence favorites. Some things are better together.
