Christ the Redeemer has the perfect view of Rio de Janeiro from his perch atop Corcovado Mountain. The second-best view is by his feet, approximately 90 feet below. Admire Rio's stunning cityscape as you ride the train up its 'hunchback' mountain, and skip the line to see one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
The 20-minute train journey through Rio's urban rainforest begins at Cosme Velho Station, where you'll climb up the mountain through Tijuca National Park.
Your ticket enables you to skip the long lines and head straight towards Paul Landowski's world-famous monument. In the same way you can see it from almost everywhere in the city, you'll be able to point out landmarks galore from your 700-meter-high lookout. You can see Sugarloaf Mountain (often confused with Corcovado itself), Brazil's historic Maracanã football stadium, and the ocean stretching out towards the horizon. Lindo!
When you're done taking in one of Earth's most unique cities (sunset is busy, but totally worth it), just hop back on the train and head back down.
