The rich history of Prague’s Jewish Quarter is as moving as it is long. Settled as early as the 10th century, this site has been home to the biggest Jewish ghetto in European history. With admission to all of the most famous monuments, this walking tour gives visitors a unique insight into the lives, trials and traditions of the Jewish people in Prague.

The Jewish Ghetto came into being when the city ordered its Jewish citizens to move to a segregated part of the city in the 10th century. Over time the neighborhood continued to grow - and live with further restrictions. These circumstances have contributed to a unique and fascinating way of life, which are explored on this walking tour.

You will visit four of these synagogues – Maisel, Pinkas, Spanish, and Old-New – and visit the Old Jewish Cemetery. Your guide is an expert in the Jewish history of Prague and its people and will share stories that bring the history of the Jewish Quarter to life. You will get a chance to see the impressive interior of the Spanish Synagogue.

Providing insights and stories about the customs, successes and failures of the Jewish people in Prague, your expert guide will make this trip to Prague's Jewish Ghetto an experience to remember.
