Visit the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, and taste some of its finest wines on this full-day tour.
Departing from Porto on a panoramic bus, the first stop is the historical city of Amarante –known for its old house, luxurious vegetation, and the famous 16th-century São Gonçalo Church on the banks of the Tâmega River.
Next stop at the São Leonardo da Galafura viewpoint where you can take in the complete landscape of the Douro Valley, from a height of 640m. Then head into the valley for a lunch of traditional Portuguese cuisine paired with wines from the region. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
After lunch, you will go on a relaxing river cruise from Pinhão to see the slopes covered in vineyards and the UNESCO-listed landscapes.
Visit a traditional winery and learn more about the wine-making process while you enjoy a wine tasting of selected wines before heading back to Porto on the bus.
